I consider myself a pretty motivated person. But there are definitely days when I’m just NOT motivated. Like yesterday, Zero motivation… and every time I tried to pull myself out, I just couldn’t focus. Or there are days when life gets crazy and I make an excuse and justify NOT exercising or NOT working out just this one day… or days or week or whatever.
Motivation levels are different for everyone, HOWEVER when you create a ROUTINE for yourself AND build in some kind of ACCOUNTABILITY you will THRIVE. Even the most motivated people struggle at times. After all, we’re only human.
A coach, trainer or anyone with vested interest in your success and your health, is someone who can provide accountability among other things. Having someone like this in your corner is invaluable.
So instead of waiting for things to get better, take control of the situation. There is no reason why you cannot thrive and reach your potential even when challenges are thrown in your way. Now’s the time to do what you need to do to get yourself stronger, fitter and emerge not only a better athlete but a better person.
